- Operational and Logistics Data: Location data, shipment details, asset tracking, and supply chain identifiers.
- Technical and Analytics Data: IP addresses, device identifiers, cookies, and system logs collected during the use of our websites or custom software solutions.
- Sensitive Information: We only collect sensitive data (such as health, biometric, or financial data) where strictly necessary for the Service provided and only with your express consent.
3. Basis for Collection (Consent)
We collect information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate under the circumstances. Implied Consent: By engaging our Services or using our websites, you consent to the collection of data necessary for that interaction. Express Consent: For sensitive data or marketing communications, we will obtain your clear, opt-in consent. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

Sierra does not sell personal information. We share data only with:
• Sub-processors and Partners: Vetted third-party vendors (e.g., cloud hosts, logistics partners, payment processors) necessary to deliver our Services.
• Legal and Regulatory Authorities: When required by Canadian or applicable international law.
• Transfer of Business: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Cross-Border Disclosure: As a global consulting firm, data may be stored or processed on servers outside of Canada (e.g., in the United States). By using our Services, you acknowledge that your data may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
6. Data Security and Limitation of Liability
We implement commercially reasonable physical, organizational, and technological security measures to protect against loss or unauthorized access. Limitation of Liability: No security system is impenetrable. To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law, Sierra and its affiliates shall not be liable for any damages resulting from a data breach, unauthorized access, or hardware/software failure, provided we have maintained reasonable security standards.
7. Sierra as a Data Processor (B2B Shield)
Where Sierra provides consulting, software development, or logistics services to a corporate client, Sierra may act as a Data Processor. In these instances, our client is the Data Controller responsible for obtaining necessary consents from their end-users. Sierra’s liability in these cases is strictly limited by the terms of the Master Service Agreement (MSA) or specific project contract.
8. Retention and Disposal
We retain data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Upon expiry of the retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymized.
